Jeremy and Mindy Deeble grew tired of watching the big suburbans with big, fat boats heading up to the lake on Wednesday mornings. Mindy would look at Jeremy and say, “What are they doing that is different than us?” It wasn’t that the couple didn’t have a boat. They just never managed to hit the lake until Saturday afternoon after their workweek was completed. They lacked time freedom.
The Deebles always knew that if they wanted to be wealthy, they had to own their own business. So, that’s what they did. Jeremy owned a company which performed general maintenance for grocery stores. But he worked 16 to 18 hours a day and traveled all over the Northwest. He was gone more than he was home, a tough situation on his wife and four children. In the process of trying to find a better situation to bring Jeremy home, the couple bought a truck bed-liner company, which only put Mindy to work 40 to 60 hours a week.
“The four children were doing a great job of raising themselves,” Mindy says. “We ended up selling that truck-bed liner company at a loss with a second mortgage on our house, and I went back to work as an Early Education Director on salary working 40 to 50 hours a week to pay off the debt that we had acquired from our prior business.”
The couple’s desire for financial success was so strong that they once sat outside a 20,000 square foot home before deciding to knock on the door and talk to the homeowner about the career that afforded him such a luxury. “We thought maybe he was a heart surgeon, something big like that. Come to find out, he just owned his own business but had figured out the success principles called leverage and residual income,” Jeremy says.
Just as they were preparing to buy a childcare facility for nearly $1 million, Jeremy’s brother introduced them to the ACN Opportunity and the ability to earn the residual income they had learned about. They saw the business opportunity as a vehicle to get their time back and have the money to live their dreams. They started with ACN and immediately found several mentors who coached them. The couple treated the business as serious as their earlier ventures, and they made sure their team saw the vision of the business the same way they did by attending every event.
“We didn’t focus on the little petty things that don’t really matter, but we focused on the big picture of what we really wanted in our lives,” Mindy says. “Because of this, in two months of joining ACN, I was able to quit my job and be home with my kids. Now, both Jeremy and I are able to be full-time parents. In the morning, we see our kids off to school, and in the afternoon we are here when they arrive back home. ACN has truly provided the lifestyle for our family that we have always dreamed of.”
